Hi, I’m Alicia.

People are often surprised and curious when I tell them what I do, and I'm regularly asked how I came to this work, so let me share a little of my journey.

For years, I worked as a corporate trainer and instructional designer, helping people navigate high-stress situations by breaking complex problems into clear, manageable steps. Over time, though, I felt a growing pull toward work that touched people more directly — during the moments that matter most.

Then life handed me my own crucible, a cancer diagnosis that absolutely reshaped my world. In the years that followed, I found myself supporting loved ones through their own difficult recoveries. Eventually, I walked alongside my dad through his terminal illness. As painful as those experiences were, they also brought something unexpected and deeply meaningful: honest conversations, moments of genuine connection, and the quiet intimacy of being present at the end of a life.

My dad's passing changed everything. It didn't just leave a mark — it gave me a calling.

Today, I bring those hard-earned lessons to the people I work with, offering steady, compassionate guidance rooted in real experience. I know what it is to receive devastating news. I know what it is to sit beside someone you love and not have the right words — and to discover that presence matters more than words anyway. I've been on both sides of difficult news and the care that follows, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside others through life's most profound transition.

“A life well-lived doesn’t end; it simply changes form, becoming the light that guides us through our darkest nights."

- Lucius Annaeus Seneca
